Tru-Grit started with James and Tim, a father and son who wanted to create something different. After decades in the coatings industry, they’d seen what worked—and what didn’t. Frustrated by the focus on cutting corners and compromising quality, they decided to take their experience and start fresh.

Between the two of them, James and Tim bring over 57 years of know-how in coatings, chemistry, and construction. They’re not just running a business; they’re involved in the nuts and bolts of everything we do, from developing products to solving on-site challenges.
