Free-Flowing Epoxy Flooring Aesthetic

Updated: Jun 24

At Tru-Grit Epoxy Flooring, we pride ourselves on delivering top-quality epoxy flooring solutions. Our meticulous process ensures a durable, aesthetically pleasing result that transforms any space. Here’s a detailed breakdown of our comprehensive four-step process:

Step One: Surface Preparation

The first step in our process involves thorough surface preparation. We begin by grinding down the surface with industrial grinders equipped with diamond blades. This crucial step ensures that the primer coat adheres perfectly to the surface. Our dust-less grinding process keeps the air clean and safe. Next, we fill any cracks, divots, and holes using a two-part resinous crack filler, specially manufactured by Tru-Grit for our installations.

Step Two: Application of the Primary Base

After preparing the surface, we apply the base coat primer. This step is essential as it provides a clean canvas for the Tru-Flow Metallic Designer Epoxy. The primer seeps into the concrete pores opened during grinding, ensuring proper adhesion and sealing the concrete. This helps prevent future issues such as cracking and peeling, providing long-term protection for the floor.

Step Three: Tru-Flow Designer Metallic Epoxy Application

The next step is the application of the Tru-Flow Designer Metallic Epoxy. Our professional equipment ensures a seamless, free-flowing aesthetic. This step requires a well-experienced installer to ensure consistency and beauty, resulting in a stunning, free-flowing lava design. Additionally, this process builds up the floor's durability, making it more robust and long-lasting.

Step Four: Top Coat Application

The final step involves applying the top coat. Clients can choose between a low-sheen or a gloss finish. We use a 100% solid polyaspartic epoxy, known for its chemical resistance, hot tire resistance, and slip resistance. This top coat not only enhances the floor's appearance but also ensures the surface remains protected and maintains its quality over time.

At Tru-Grit Epoxy Flooring, our meticulous process guarantees a durable, beautiful epoxy floor that stands the test of time. From surface preparation to the final top coat application, every step is designed to provide the best results for our clients.
